I began my love for pageantry at age 15 when I placed 2nd runner-up out of 42 contestants in the Miss El Paso (TX) Teen USA pageant. 

My most recent pageant experience includes:

• Mrs. Utah United States 2020 
• 4th-runner-up at Mrs. United States 2020
• 1st-runner-up at Mrs. Utah America 2022
• 4th-runner-up at Mrs. Utah America 2020 where I also won Miss Photogenic and Best State Costume

As a Teen or Miss I competed in: 

• Miss Texas Teen USA 1994
• Miss Arizona USA 1998 and 1999, top 10
• Miss Utah USA 2001 & 2002, top 10  

As a Mrs. contestant, I not only compete for personal betterment, but to have a real-time feel for what my clients are also going through. And in my 40s, I always need a fitness goal!

My belief is that even if I don't win or even place, I develop new skills and insights that help me be a better coach and mentor.

I have 20+ years of professional writing and editing experience. I am a former high school English teacher and university professor. 

My educational background includes: 

• Master of Arts degree in English Education
• Study abroad to St. Catherine’s College, England 
• Bachelor of Arts degee in English 

Fun fact: My elementary and secondary education were completed in Chihuahua, México, where I was born and raised.

With my combined writing and pageantry experience, I have developed a system for making judges bios and resumes captivating at first glance. This process is customized to my client and no two bios or resumes look the same. 

After solidifying the paperwork, I work with my client on interview skills built specifically around the paperwork we have designed or what I call "the invisible, sparkly pageant box."
